Garlic + Tequila + Jalapeno + Shrimp + Lime + Taco Tuesday = Recipe for the Best Day Ever!
Okay Okay Okay… maybe a teeny exaggeration there, BUT… this recipe is super simple and cooks realllllly fast and is delish. So, there’s that.
I’ve been totally digging quick dinners lately, because summer has been pretty warm and I don’t wanna be slaving away in a hot kitchen.
In comes quick cooking protein like shrimp and salmon. I always have some frozen wild caught seafood in the freezer for quick dinners. Just thaw overnight in refrigerator, or quick thaw in cold water in the sink and you’ve got some great protein that will cook in under 10 minutes!
This garlicky tequila shrimp is a recipe I’ve been making for a few years now and it never disappoints! Especially when you have the makings for margaritas too enjoy with dinner!
I think the key to this recipe really being great is using good quality, fresh ingredients. And SALT. Really good salt. I’ve been using Redmond Real Salt for the past year or so and it’s soooo good. I love that it’s mined right here in America in Utah since 1958. Real Salt is America’s only unrefined ancient sea salt with over 60+ beneficial trace minerals and unmatched flavor.
The two products I use everyday for cooking are the Ancient Fine Sea Salt and the Kosher Salt. I love the personal pocket size shaker for keeping in my purse and using at restaurants instead of the iodized table salt. I also keep one in my tennis bag for replacing electrolytes when I’m sweating my ass off on the courts!
Tip: add fine sea salt to your warm lemon water in the morning for a great way to help support your adrenal glands. I’ll talk more about this in the coming months when I share some of my adrenal fatigue details with you guys.
Okay, back to the garlicky tequila shrimp goodness…
Also, have you seen my guide to how to throw an epic taco bar party?!?!
There’s also a delish guacamole recipe in that post too!
