Holiday Gift Guide: Splurge Worthy

FA LA LA! The holidays are officially here! I’ve been working super hard to bring you my first Holiday Gift Guide in a 4 part series with different themes where I showcase products from some of my favorite companies. I’ll post each themed guide one at a time over the next few weeks, so you will still have time to shop! Did you miss the first guide? Check it out: All Things Charcoal.

2017 holiday shopping guide

Splurge Worthy:

1.Instant Pot Pressure Cooker | 2. Dry Farm Wines (paleo/keto-friendly!) | 3. Big Berkey Water Filter | 4. Vitamix High Powered Blender | 5. Finex Cast Iron 10″ Skillet / Lean Grill Pan | 6. Nomiku Wifi Sous Vide | 7. Beautycounter Rejuvenating Skincare Set | 8. Nikon 35 mm f/1.4G Lens

1.Instant Pot Pressure Cooker

This is the perfect gift for someone who doesn’t like to fuss a lot in the kitchen cooking dinner. It’s basically the opposite of a slow cooker… You can come home from dinner, throw a bunch of stuff in the Instant Pot, walk away and have a great meal in typically under 30 minutes start to finish! I love it for cooking shredded chicken, shredded barbacoa beef, bone broth, hard boiled eggs, rice, and a million other things! There are so many recipes on the interwebs these days specifically for using an Instant Pot, so there’s no excuse!

2. Dry Farm Wines (paleo/keto-friendly!)

Do you love wine but don’t love the additives that tend to give you a wine headache/hangover feeling?! Yeah me too! I just got a subscription for these low sugar, paleo and keto friendly wines and have been loving them! You can pick red or white or a combo and they will curate a shipment for you every month or every other month, whichever you decide! Check out their website for more details!

First order: Get an extra bottle for only 1 cent more! So for 6 pack, you get 7, or for 12 pack, you get 13!

3. Big Berkey Water Filter

I love this option for having clean, filtered water to drink/use to cook with but without having to install something on your sink or plumbing. This filter uses charcoal filters in the top half where you pour the water in and it filters down to the bottom reservoir where you can add optional fluoride filters if you want. I have the Travel Berkey but wished I would have gone with Big Berkey since I go through a lot of water! Gotta stay hydrated, yo!

4. Vitamix High Powered Blender

I’ve had my Vitamix for over 5 years and use it almost daily. This thing is still going strong and I love it for how many things I can blend in it! I use it most frequently for blending bulletproof coffee, pureeing soups, smoothies, bulletproof ice cream, etc! You can save yourself some money (about $100) if you get one of the refurbished ones. That’s what I did and I couldn’t tell one bit, plus they still give you the same warranty!

5. Finex Cast Iron 10″ Skillet / Lean Grill Pan

You can never go wrong with cast iron and this brand is one of my favs! Everything is handcrafted in Portland and I love their attention to details. I’ve ditched all of my old, toxic non stick cookware and I almost exclusively use cast iron skillets for all my cooking!

6. Nomiku Wifi Sous Vide ($35 off your order, use code: FEISTYKITCH)

Umm, did you see the 22 hour sous vide turkey breast I made on Thanksgiving? Holy ISHHHH it was the best turkey I’ve ever had/made! It’s great for all types of proteins since it cooks at a very low even temperature… You really can’t mess it up! I also love making sous vide eggs… soft scrambled and soft “boiled” and the yolk comes out incredibly velvety like nothing you’ve ever had!

7. Beautycounter Rejuvenating Skincare Set

Safer skincare is so important these days and I fully am in love with all things Beautycounter, especially when trying to reduce my exposure to hormone disrupting ingredients that are common in most brands of personal care products on the market. This anti-aging skincare set is perfect for someone who loves having all the steps from one line of products. It includes six rejuvenating products: face cleanser, toner pads, radiance serum, day cream, night cream, and eye cream. I’ve been using this line for the past 2+ years and love how my skin looks and feels!

My other favorite Beautycounter indulgences are the Cleansing Balm (which feels like silk going on your skin! I use this at night to remove all my makeup and it leaves my skin feeling like I just got a spa treatment!) and the Brightening Facial Mask (which I can see immediate results from! This helps with reducing the appearance of dark spots and helps even out my complexion!)

Email me at hello @ thefeistykitchen . com, if you have any questions about any of the Beautycounter products!

8. Nikon 35 mm f/1.4G Lens

Okay, okay, this is a HUGE splurge! BUT, it’s been my favorite go to lens since I splurged for myself last Christmas! It takes amazing portrait shots and is also a fav for outdoor landscapes as well as all my food photog! The equivalent for Canon users is HERE.

Okay, that’s a wrap! I had fun sharing all my fav splurge worthy gift ideas with you! Happy shopping!! Oh, and comment on my most recent Instagram post if you have any questions at all!
